AW Regulars Suddenly Banned For No Reason

Here are a few examples of AW regulars, who had posted at least 500 times, when they were suddenly banned for no reason, during the past couple of years. This puts paid to Mel/Mac's claim that all the writers banned from AW are 'trolls' and 'sockpuppets.'

The size of the forum is unimportant. We're dealing here with the estimated percentage rate of banning at AW (35%), as compared to most other forums. (2%)

This was Kevin's last post on AW.  He was banned because he didn't go along with the 'let's bash self publishing' mindset that's rabid on that nasty forum. He had posted there 405 times.

Mel/Mac berated both Kevin and Robin publicly, saying among other things:

I'm sick to death of the misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and outright bald-faced lies that some of you insist on spreading like it's gospel truth. Go start your own damned cheerleader forum where no one gets to post rebuttals, ask questions, challenge assertions, or disagree with your awesomeness and mighty self-publishing guru-ness and wisdom(!!11!), and good luck with it.

But regardless of where you go from here, you're most definitely not going to use my bandwidth to badmouth AW and the community here. Not any more."

Robin Sullivan Banned

This was Robin Sullivan's last post. As you can see she was always unfailing polite. She had posted 443 times, so was by no means a newbie. Robin was banned from AW in the most rude and brutal fashion, merely for disagreeing with their views on publishing. They seem unaware that traditional publishing is just about defunct, and that self publishing and the Internet has replaced it.

New Members Banned Before They Even Post On AW

We've had a number of reports from writers who tried to join AW, only to receive the type of message captured below. It should be noted here, that these writers had never been members of AW previously. It looks as if Mac is getting seriously paranoid, and thinks everyone attempting to join AW is one of the so-called 'trolls.' The only reason Gypsy Harp can come up with is that he was at work at the time and posting through a proxy. If Mac is simply assuming everyone who uses a proxy is a so-called 'troll' then she needs to educate herself accordingly. There are many, many Internet users who always use a proxy for security reasons. Law enforcement agencies advise it. Mac is also suddenly banning members for no reason as well.
